Job Overview:
– The British High Commission in Malé is seeking a Political and Communications Officer to support UK foreign policy objectives in the Maldives. The role requires a blend of political and communications expertise and involves collaboration with various stakeholders. Location: Malé. Openings: 1.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide political reporting and analysis on developments in the Maldives.
– Develop and maintain a network of contacts for political engagement.
– Monitor political, economic, and social developments.
– Prepare briefing materials and support senior engagement arrangements.
– Draft and implement communications plans.
– Manage content for social media and digital channels.
– Produce media summaries and communications products.
– Support public diplomacy campaigns and events.

Qualifications & Experience:
– Fluent in written and spoken English and Dhivehi.
– 2-3 years of relevant experience.
– Bachelor’s degree in Politics, International Relations, or related field.
– Excellent understanding of Maldivian politics and governance.
– Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities.
– Ability to manage competing priorities independently.

Salary & Benefits:
– Salary: MVR 29,584 monthly.
– Benefits include a pro-rated 13th month’s salary and medical insurance coverage.
