BADALGAMA FACTORY
( Manager – HR & Admin / Admin Executive)
OPEN POSITIONS
(Based at the Factory – Badalgama)
1. MANAGER – HR & ADMIN
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant qualification matching the position applied for.
- Sound knowledge in HRIS, Payroll, Labor Laws and best HR practices (HR Manager).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent in MS Office application.
- Ability to work independently and good problem solving skills.
- A self motivated and energetic team player.
- Ability to meet with strict deadlines.
- Flexible to work late when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle all recruitment and relevant processes.
- Handle on boarding and ensure relevant documentation is complete.
- Implement HR policies created by the Management and inform on compliance.
- Create job descriptions / KPI s in discussion with the Management.
- Assist in grievance handling and benefits.
- Responsible for staff leave tracking and leave balances.
- Assisting with payroll processing.
- Manage the HRIS system.
- Coordinating the training needs of employees and prepare the training calendar accordingly.
- Organize and conduct employee engagement activities and CSR activities.
- Manage compliance (legal) related to HR.
- Oversee office administration and general administrative operations.
2. ADMIN EXECUTIVE
(Based at the Factory – Badalgama)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, HR or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative role, preferably in a factory/manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong organisational, communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with a high level of responsibility and confidentiality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, and induction processes.
- Maintain employee records, attendance, leave, HR databases, and support payroll administration.
- Coordinate employee training, staff communication, employee engagement activities, and other HR initiatives.
- Manage office administration, filing systems, document control, stationery, office supplies, and company records.
- Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, company events and general administrative requirements.
- Support cafeteria administration by coordinating with vendors and monitoring daily operational requirements.
- Assist with petty cash administration, expense monitoring, and preparation of basic administrative cost reports.
- Support procurement activities, including purchase requisitions, supplier coordination, and procurement documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.
3. HR ASSISTANT
(Based at the Head Office – Mount Lavinia)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or Diploma in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in HR, preferably in Mount Lavinia.
- Good knowledge of labour laws, EPF/ETF, payroll, HRIS and MS Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; a good team player.
- Able to handle sensitive information and work under pressure.
- Flexible with working hours when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle payroll processing, assist in managing time and attendance, data collection and record-keeping.
- Prepare HR reports and support process improvements.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and employee records.
- Support employee relations, engagement, and welfare activities.
- Ensure statutory compliance and assist with audits.
- Help manage performance appraisals of staff.
